Information We Use
Mog War may access photos you choose from your photo library or
take with your camera. These images are used only to run the
measurements you request.
The guided cameras (front and side) analyze the live camera preview
on your iPhone to tell you how to adjust the pose. Those preview
frames are examined in memory and discarded; only the photo you
take, or that the side camera takes for you at the end of its
countdown, is kept. The side camera's spoken guidance uses Apple's
on-device speech synthesis; the microphone is never used.
The app stores a few preferences with UserDefaults,
such as whether you have seen the onboarding screens, how many free
analyses you have used, and settings you choose.
What Is Stored on Your Device
Analyses you keep are saved inside the app's own storage on your
iPhone: front analyses under MogWarHistory and side
analyses under MogWarProfiles, each as the photo, the
annotated photo, and the measured numbers. They stay there until
you delete them from History. Deleting the app deletes them.
What Stays on Your iPhone After You Delete the App
One small record is kept outside the app's own storage, in your
iPhone's Keychain: how many of the free front and side analyses
this iPhone has used, and, if you used Mog War before Mog War Pro
existed, that you keep Pro for free. It is kept there so that
deleting and reinstalling the app does not reset the free analyses,
and so that early users do not lose their free Pro when they
reinstall.
The record contains only those counts and that yes-or-no grant. It
holds no photo, measurement, name, account or identifier. It stays
on this iPhone: it is not synced through iCloud Keychain, does not
move to a new iPhone, and is never sent to us or anyone else. iOS
keeps an app's Keychain items when the app is deleted; erasing the
iPhone (Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, Erase All
Content and Settings) removes it.
Information We Do Not Collect
Mog War does not collect, sell, or share personal information.
Photos, outlines, and results are processed locally on your device
and are never uploaded to a server by the app. There is no account
and no sign-in.
Mog War does not use third-party tracking, advertising identifiers,
analytics SDKs, or tracking domains. Purchases are handled by the
App Store; the app only reads whether Mog War Pro is owned.
Plain-language explanations of your numbers, where offered, are
generated on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence and only on
iPhones that support it. They never leave the device and never
change a measurement.
Photo Library Saves
If you choose to save an annotated image, share card, or report,
the app writes that file to your photo library or hands it to the
system share sheet using Apple's own APIs. Share cards can be made
from the outline alone, without your photo.
Face ID
If you turn on the privacy lock, Mog War asks the system to
authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode before
showing your saved analyses. The app never receives biometric data;
it only learns whether the authentication succeeded.
