Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

KeepOrBin is an iOS app published by Novarch LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Service

KeepOrBin lets you review and sort the photos and videos in your photo library, compress large videos to reclaim space, delete items you no longer want, and keep private photos, videos, and files in an encrypted vault. Privacy Scan suggests photos that may hold private details. All processing runs locally on your device; the app does not require an account and does not upload your media.

3. Your Media & Permanent Actions

You are responsible for the photos and videos you choose to keep, compress, lock, or delete. Deleting media and compressing videos are permanent actions. Deletions are carried out through Apple's system photo APIs, and video compression re-encodes a file on your device and replaces the original after a smaller copy has been created and verified. Locking a photo moves it into the vault: an encrypted copy is saved first, and only then does iOS ask you to delete the original. You can choose to keep originals in Photos in Settings.

We strongly recommend keeping a current backup (for example, via iCloud Photos or a computer) before deleting or compressing. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss of photos, videos, or quality resulting from your use of the app.

4. The Vault and Your PIN or Pattern

The vault is encrypted on your device and opens only with your PIN or pattern, or with Face ID if you turn it on. We never have your PIN, pattern, or the keys to your vault, so we cannot open it, recover a forgotten PIN or pattern, or restore items you remove. If you forget your PIN or pattern, the vault can only be erased, and everything in it, folders included, is lost.

An optional decoy PIN or pattern opens a separate vault with its own contents. Erasing the vault or deleting the app permanently deletes the vault on that device. The vault's encrypted files are included in your iPhone's backups, where they stay encrypted. Keep your PIN or pattern somewhere safe, and keep other copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

5. Privacy Scan

Privacy Scan is an aid, not a guarantee. It can miss a photo that holds private details, or flag one that does not. Nothing is locked or deleted unless you choose it.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

KeepOrBin's core cleaning features, Privacy Scan, and a vault of up to 5 items are free. KeepOrBin Pro is available as a one-time purchase or as a monthly subscription; the price is shown in the app before you buy.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The monthly subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel it in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Purchases, renewals, and restores are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms; we do not receive or store your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Estimated savings shown before compression are approximate and actual results may vary by video.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Novarch LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, including the contents of the vault, arising out of or related to your use of the app.

9. Acceptable Use

Use KeepOrBin only with media and files you own or are authorized to manage, and only in compliance with applicable law. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.

10. Changes & Apple's Terms

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
