Skyliner — Privacy Policy

Effective July 2026

Skyliner has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics SDKs and no tracking. Your progress lives on your device. The only thing that ever leaves it is a leaderboard entry, described below.

What stays on your phone

Saved locally, and never sent anywhere:

Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no cloud backup and no way for us to recover it.

The global leaderboard

Skyliner has an optional global board of tallest towers, hosted by us at skyliner-scores.netlify.app. When your personal best improves, the app sends exactly three things:

That identifier is a random UUID. It is not your Apple ID, not your device ID, not an advertising identifier, and it is not linked to anything else. It exists only so your own entry can be updated instead of duplicated.

Please don't use your real name as your builder name. It is visible to everyone on the board, and a nickname works just as well.

Nothing else is sent — no email, no contacts, no location, no device details, no gameplay telemetry. If you never play, nothing is ever sent.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, Skyliner submits your best height and score to Apple's leaderboards. That is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never read your Apple ID, your name or your friends list. The game is completely playable signed out.

Children

Skyliner is rated 4+ and contains nothing objectionable. The one free-text field is the builder name, which appears publicly on the leaderboard — parents may want to choose that name with their child.

Your data rights

Delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. To have a leaderboard entry removed, email us with the builder name and tag shown on your board row and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not start collecting something new and quietly leave this page as it was.
