Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the DOTS application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Novarch LLC. You confirm that you are at least 13 years old and able to enter into them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The Service

DOTS is a screen-time awareness and digital wellbeing app that visualizes your life in weeks, surfaces app usage, lets you set daily limits and focus sessions, and helps you build streaks. It is for personal, non-commercial use and requires no account.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

  • DOTS is fully usable for free. You never lose access to core features such as the life grid, daily limits, focus sessions, streaks, and reminders.
  • Premium is offered as optional auto-renewing subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly) and a one-time Lifetime purchase. The Monthly and Yearly plans may include an introductory free trial; the Weekly plan does not. Premium can also be earned for free by maintaining a daily-goal streak.
  • An optional one-time purchase can unlock a reached daily limit early; a free timed-wait alternative is always offered alongside it.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A free trial not cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends converts to a paid subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. All purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.

4. Screen Time & App Blocking

DOTS uses Apple's Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks to monitor usage and block selected apps. By granting Screen Time access you authorize this on your device. You can revoke it anytime in iOS Settings. DOTS is not responsible for missed notifications, calls, or messages while blocking is active.

5. Disclaimers

DOTS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Life expectancy figures and screen-time projections are estimates for reflection and motivation only, and must not be relied on for medical, financial, or legal decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Novarch LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including from its blocking features.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DOTS unlawfully, to reverse-engineer or circumvent its controls, or to use it to restrict another person's device access without their consent. All content, design, and code in DOTS are owned by Novarch LLC.

7. Changes & Apple's Terms

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. Your use of DOTS is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, which prevail with respect to Apple's services.
